welcome to
Bonny Doon
Forest Temple
we are honored by your visit here's the lay of our land
we believe
sacred land should
be shared
The Bonny Doon Forest Temple was created with healing in mind. Our land offers an opportunity to disconnect from civilization, breathe in fresh air & rejuvenate on a cellular level. Upon arrival, you can feel your circadian rhythm start to regulate. We often walk barefoot through the woods and garden to simply feel the damp forest floor between our toes. It's grounding - the principle that guides all elements of life on our land.
Our dwellings were built using reclaimed & sustainable materials and are adorned with handmade, ethically-sourced & found object whenever possible. Our interior spaces echo open, uncluttered simplicity. Constructed with intention on land to ancient giants, including Tan Oak, Redwood & Douglas Fir, we invited those same elements in to bring earth tones inside for a natural cozy feeling.
Drawn from Japanese tradition & onsen bathing rituals, our land features numerous indoor & outdoor bathing sanctuaries, including a cedar hot tub, cedar sauna, rainfall showers, cold plunge and a sprawling redwood deck to soak it all in. Our dedicated bathhouse, set just along the forest boundary, invites all outdoor elements in for a cleansing experience like no other. But that's just the beginning. Our land reveals itself in new, beautiful ways each and every day. We are honored to share it with you.
With Deep Gratitude,
